The Watcher

These murals were commissioned by Clark County for the beautification of Maryland Parkway for the ZAP project.

"The Watcher" was meant to serve as a figure to look after the people of Maryland Parkway. This mural was met with much animosity for its depiction of Black figures. As a result these murals were vandalized and then completely painted over. But through community support and the backing of Clark County I was given the opportunity to restore these murals. They are displayed today as symbols of resilience and resistance.
